The ACPC Austrian Center of Philosophy
with Children
organizes the International Workshop
The Arc of Inquiry in Philosophical Dialogue
October 21 - 23, 2007 in Graz/Austria
Participants in this workshop will study philosophical dialogue as a process of
inquiry
into philosophical aspects of ordinary experience. We will practice a new
framework for
organizing classroom dialogue as a process of generating and testing hypotheses
to
inquiry questions, and consider non-dialogical methods of testing and
implementing those
hypotheses. The training services are provided by Workshop Directors who are
IAPC
Certified Trainers (Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children [Montclaire
University Montclaire/New Jersey; USA]) and ICPIC-Representatives (International
Council
for Philosophical Inquiry with Children). Each of them has a philosophy degree
with
special experience in conducting teacher education seminars in various
