SOPHIA is an open, cooperative Foundation, registered in Amsterdam (number 41212853) for European teachers, philosophers, teacher educators, parents et.al. interested in the field of doing Philosophy with Children. This site works as an information channel of SOPHIA. 

SOPHIA organises annual SOPHIA Network Meetings for those interested in Philosophy with Children to meet with other Europeans and to:  

  • Network

  • Exchange experiences

  • Share practises and research

  • Collaborate in joint projects

During the last four years SOPHIA Meetings have been arranged in England (2004), Malta (2005), Scotland (2006), Slovenia and Portugal (2007).  (more)
